We recently celebrated 100 day here in our homeschool. This is a big event in our house because it marks “100” days of school and of course…our annual scavenger hunt to reveal the 100 snack!
First we read psalm 100 which happens to be a psalm of thanks….
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his [a] ;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Then they drew what they would look like when they are 100 years old….and crumpled it up to make their faces look wrinkly!
….then they had a writing assignment to explain what they wanted the world to be like 100 years from now…..
Isabella wanted everyone to be nice to animals and not one of them to ever be abused!
Ethan wanted the whole world to turn to chocolate!! LOL
We wrote 100 things we are thankful for
And….finally the big scavenger hunt that led them to 10 snacks…of which they could take 10 from each one! Hence, 100 snacks! Oh, I didnt get a pic of their 100 exercises…but, they earned this by exercising 100 times. It was a workout!
