"The desert will rejoice and bloom like a Wildflower"
Isaiah 35:1

A Special Christmas indeed…..

One of my favorite memories as a child was sitting at the top of the steps waiting in much excitement and anticipation with my siblings while my parents “scoped out” what they had worked on ALL NIGHT...exactly what Santa had done for us…

and, OH the anticipation of RUNNING DOWN THOSE STEPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and finding the EVIDENCE of SANTA’s visit….
and, now that we’re parents……

It’s amazing and wonderful to look back on my childhood….those sweet memories…the joy, and the magic of it all….
and to now see Christmas through my parents’ eyes….

Now I understand their overwhelming joy of those mornings.

Months of saving money, preparations and late night gift wrapping marathons.

All to see the joy of each child’s expression as they unwrap their special present…..

My heart could burst with gladness of it all!

It’s just so very magical!!!!!

There were a few surprises for mommy and daddy too!

Tahlia trying my new scarf on me

free house cleaning! WOOHOO!

Finally got my external flash!

daddy was SO SO surprised to get a Cajon drum!

Tickets to see Brian Reagan!

And, I just love the hustle and bustle of the day!!!

I love how crazy it is!!

The Christmas Chaos.

It make me happy to see our kids so excited with how we fill it to the BRIM with family, fun and memories!

Our first stop is homemade Christmas breakfast at Nana and Pop-pop’s house!

One of my favorite traditions!

AND …..again, it’s the joy in the faces (young and old) that just melts me……

Here’s a photo collage of our morning!

Pop Pop Giving out the gifts!

SHE LOVED THIS DRESS!!!
 Thank you Aunt AMY!!!

Gifts for Nana and Pop-Pop

 Gifts for aunts and Uncles…

I have been waiting MONTHS to see these expressions…..

And….this is how we entertained ourselves the rest of the morning….LOL

Christmas cuddles from Cinderella

 Some special playtime with Nana…..

…….then, it was time to pack it up for some more family time, OFF to Grand ma Pat’s and Papa Buddy’s house for Christmas Eve dinner and more memories!!!

Italian Olive Oil from ITALY!!

Here is another moment I have been waiting months to see!!!!

It was a glorious Day…..not because of the gifts, but because of the special people we got to spend it with, and WHO we were celebrating…..
We give and celebrate because HE first gave to us……..
that First Christmas Day over 2000 years ago.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS, OUR KING AND SAVIOR!

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
(Is. 9:6)
