girly memories and special dates (part 2: daddy/daughter dance)

It shouldn’t be any surprise to know that the role of a daddy in a daughter’s life carries the weight of the world.

This sacred, irreplaceble relationship impacts every facet of that little girl’s life….

This special and important relationship, in huge part, defines who they are, who they are becoming and who they want to be.

Daddy is the prince, the hero and the truest example of who God, their heavenly Father, is like.

Gary Thomas of Sacred Parenting wrote:

“Ultimately, a young woman’s relationship with her father has a significant impact on her view of men, her view of God and her view of herself.”

James Dobson of “Bringing Up Girls” wrote:

“Fathers have an incalculable impact on their daughters….all future romantic relationships to occur in a girl’s life will be influenced positively or negatively by the way she perceives and interacts with her dad. If he rejects and ignores her, she will spend her life trying to replace him in her heart. If he is warm and nurturing, she will look for a lover to equal him. If he thinks she is beautiful, worthy, and feminine, she will be inclined to see herself that way.”

Such a heavy responsibility that a father carries……

And, I am so so thankful that their daddy “gets it”….he “gets” just how important HE needs to be in their life.

And, he wouldn’t have it any other way…..

He wants to be their knight in Shining Armor……

He wants to court them, date them….and show them that they are beautiful, treasured and so very special …

And, could there be a more perfect place to do this very thing then a daddy/daughter dance!!???

Daddy helped to organized this special dance at church so that he (any so many other fathers) could have a treasured, beautiful, and memorable night with their special little ladies.

To show them how very valuable they are…

And for that, I don’t think I could love him any more than I do.

And, speakin’ of feeling special….

I also got “taken out on a special date” too, by a very special man in my life……

We hadn’t danced together since my wedding, 14 years ago…..

I am so glad I got to get this special memory too…..

SO MANY TREASURED MOMENTS to remember…..

Tahlia stealing all the hershy kisses off the table!

Papa Buddy brought Aunt Amy

Thank you Daddy for making your daughters feel like the true princesses that they are….

 You are SO VERY loved!
