Our first Fall as a family of 7!

This time last year we were waiting, yearning and aching for our baby girl to finally come home. We were so close and with the weather turning colder and the holidays finally approaching, it was a beautiful reminder of how much closer we actually were!

Now, here we are. The leaves are changing colors, the apples are red and round and the pumpkins are just calling out to be decorated!

One year later and we are relishing in the joy of being all together to enjoy all the fun and tasty traditions that this season holds.

I love that we are creating NEW memories with Our sweet T!

baking apple muffins
toasting pumpkin seeds

decorating pumpkins

creating their own unique pumpkin, as unique as each of them!

….and the finished products!!!

Our kids REALLY REALLY look forward to dressing up and trick or treating each year! We have a lot of fun planning and creating and envisioning their costumes!

T is obsessed with wings and was so so super excited to be a fairy this year, along with her sister who is Tinkerbell! Isabella was Alice in Wonderland and the boys were football players!!

We got to do T&T’ing with the cousins this year and that was really special!

getting lots of candy from Nana and Pop-pop!

….And thanks to Hurricane Sandy, we got an extra day to T&T!

I am so grateful to be making new memories as a family of 7!

God has given us a new season to ponder on all our new blessings! and, I am adoring the joy it all brings!

When I stand back and watch my family, it’s as if I am watching a miracle. Thank you God, I am so grateful!

  1. Great pictures and collages, Johanna! And even better, memories for a lifetime! So glad Tahlia has a family this year to introduce her to all these special seasons and holidays! You are coming up on 1 year home with your little one- we are coming up on 2 years. Time really does go fast- so glad you're enjoying it! Us too. Take Care.
