We are standing in the middle of a miracle….
PRAISE THE LORD!!! She is ours forever! We are so grateful….thank you for your prayers, we feel each and every one!!
Our day started with an early 4 am wake-up…..yeah, we were excited!!! We then had breakfast, went to the bank and got LOTS of money (orphanage donation)….it was nerve-wracking walking around with that much in Chinese money! Then, for a nice american lunch at McDonalds complete with Mocha Frappe.
…with much excitement and butterflies in our tummies we we drove to the civil affairs office where we waited, and got to witness the miracles of other family’s gotcha days…let me tell you, what a powerful moment it is to be witnessing these special intimate ceremonies….we were basically in tears before my Tahlia even came out!!
We kept waiting…..and waiting. She hadn’t arrived yet…
then, the elevator opened and we saw her nannies step out holding her…we darted, calmly…but darted for her. It was amazing…
She was reluctant to come to us, there were tears….then we embraced her. I don’t have the exact words for the moment…all I can say is that it was very powerful, surreal and a lot like childbirth. It didn’t feel real, like a fuzzy dream.
It was amazing….and in an instant…love took us in. She had us.
Thank you for praying….it is making a HUGE difference. She has cried a lot, and is grieving a lot. But, she is allowing us to comfort her. The most precious moment was when she fell asleep on my chest. Isabella wanted some cuddle time too, so I transferred her to Isabella’s chest….Bella was in her glory!!
We are in love….this doll baby just captivates us.
Here are pics, starting with our breakfast…and leading up to our “gotcha moments” and back at the hotel.

Tahlia day!!!!! |
Her skin is so dry, it feels like sandpaper in certain spots.:( So, we gave her an oatmeal bath which she was very unsure of at first, then she began to tolerate it and calm down. I gave her a massage with aquaphor while Isabella and I sang to her. Btw, she loves music and we even got a little giggle as mommy zerberted her belly!! LOL
Her favorite doll is the kailan doll we had sent her in the care package…she loves it. She also loves the puffs and yogurt drops. SO GLAD I brought these! She grips the little bowl and doesn’t let it go! 🙂
She seems to be most secure when she is holding things in her little tight fists.
right now she is cuddling in daddy’s lap, watching Wipe-Out…and eating snacks. I need to go make her bottle!!
Enjoy the pics!!
